WILLLIAM PATRICK SIMPSON MONROE, NY William Patrick Simpson, 74, of, Monroe, NY, entered into eternal rest after a difficult battle with lung cancer on Monday, September 15, 2008 at home with his wife of 46 years Dolores by his side. William was born March 19, 1934 in the Bronx, to William Joseph and Veronica Lillian (Houston) Simpson. He was a member of the Teamsters 553 and retired from MB Trucking after 28 years of service. He was a member of Sacred Heart in Monroe, NY. Survivors include his wife: Dolores Simpson at home; his mother-in-law Adelaide Pietri of Monroe, NY; children, Lorelei Westphal of Ocoee, FL; William P. Simpson, Jr. of Annapolis, MD, Susanne Leissle of Wallkill, NY, Salvatore Figluizz III of Woodbridge, NY, Dolores M. Figluzzi of Maybrook, NY; his sister Irene Schiaffo of the Bronx and his brother Richard Kentner also of the Bronx; grandchildren, Danielle, Sherry, Jason, Allison, Alicia, Alexis, Taylor, Sean, Angela, and Scott; great grandchildren, Louis, Alexandra, Shaelyn, Bryce, Haley, Shayne, and Atticus. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 18 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Still Rd., Monroe. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery, Chester, NY. In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Williams name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550.
