William Henderson

William "Fafa" W. Henderson of Goshen, NY, a retiree of Ford Motor Company and a lifelong area resident, peacefully entered into rest on Friday, April 14, at the Valley View Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation, Goshen, NY. He was 76. The son of the late Louis J. and Beulah M. Shader Henderson he was born on September 10, 1940 in Warwick, NY. A family statement reads, "He was a man of few words, but whose actions spoke volumes. He will always be loved so much by his family and he will be missed every day." The family would like to thank the nursing staffs at Orange Regional Medical Center and Valley View Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation for their care and support. Bill was a family man. He enjoyed gardening and doing puzzles and anyone who knew him well, knew that he couldn't wait for baseball season to start so that he could watch the Mets play. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine "Geri" Henderson at home; daughters: Carleen Schaumburg and husband Charlie of Goshen, Amy Comisse of Goshen; grandchildren: Charles and Hope Schaumburg and Dominick Comisse; sister Dolores Evans and husband Kenneth of Warwick; sister in law Kate Henderson of Warwick, and Donald Ernhout, Penny Robins and husband Mike, Donald Ernhout and wife Sue, all of Reno NV, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth, Frank and Louie Henderson; and son-in-law, Charley Comisse. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 18 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Avenue, Goshen, NY. on Wednesday 4/19/2017.
