Vita Eva Miles

Vita Eva J. Miles entered into rest Thursday, April 7, 2022, at the age of 95. She was born in Brooklyn on August 2, 1926 to two Italian Immigrants Anna and Angelo Milazzo. Eva studied fashion design at a high school in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and graduated at the age of 15. She later worked as an executive secretary and retired from GTE Corporation in their offices in Manhattan and Stamford, Connecticut. Eva was the beloved mother of Thomas P. Miles, Sr. (Lynn) and proud grandmother of Thomas P. Miles, Jr. Eva was married to Thomas P. Miles from 1951 until his death in 1971. She was predeceased by her younger sister Diana, brother-in-law Richard McClure and her former daughter-in-law Maria Miles. Eva was known for arriving fashionably fifteen minutes late, but she always stayed for coffee and dessert. She enjoyed traveling and going to the movies. She spoiled her cats, bailey and Sia. Memorial visitation will be Thursday, May 12th from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. Memorial donations in her name may be directed to St Jude's Children Hospital or to cancer research. Burial in St Charles Cemetery, Long Island will be private at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to thank Sister Ann Daly for her counsel, spiritual guidance, and immeasurable friendship.
