It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy H. Henkler, a cherished husband, friend, and member of the Warwick community, who departed this world on September 28, 2026. He was born on January 21, 1954, in Ridgewood, New Jersey to Robert Henkler and Dorothy Henkler. He grew up in Ramsey, New Jersey, and later lived in Mahwah, New Jersey and Glen Rock, New Jersey. Timothy lived a life marked by compassion, kindness, and a heartfelt commitment to those he loved. A plumber by trade, he owned Herb's Heating, LLC. People who didn't know him saw a rough man who lacked a filter, but those who really knew him saw the soft teddy bear that was on the inside. He helped whomever needed help at any time of the day or night, and he would do absolutely anything for his good friends.

Timothy married Rita Averna Henkler of Warwick, New York on June 2, 2012 at a beautiful ceremony in the backyard of their home in Glen Rock New Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Henkler, and also by his brother, Kevin Henkler.

He was survived by his loving wife, Rita, his children Kristina Rose Lyteson and Timothy (TJ) Henkler, his stepchildren Michael Ward, Kevin Ward, and Meghan Cifuentes, and a brother, Thomas Henkler, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be planned for early spring.

In lieu of flowers, Timothy's favorite charity was the Wounded Warrior Project.
