Thomas Folchi

Thomas A. Folchi, Jr., 74, of The Villages FL and Goshen NY, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at home in Goshen. Thomas was born June 14, 1942 in Bronx, NY, the son of Thomas and Nancy (Miceli) Folchi. Tom received his BS in Aeronautical Engineering from NYU and MBA in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He retired as one of the owners of Strategic Power Management, Goshen, NY. Past employment included NYC cab driver, Ford Motor Company, Grumman Aerospace, NY Public Service Commission and Orange & Rockland Utilities. The family would like to thank all of his friends who made his life and golf outings so enjoyable, and those who helped the family throughout his illness: Rohit Patel, Harry Grout, John Hopkins, Joe Strojnowski, Jim Oxley, Christine Black & Shayna Miele. A special thank you to Dr. Baah. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Folchi at home; daughter, Christine M. Folchi and husband Paul Zavadil of Montgomery, NY; son, Brian T. Folchi and wife Marissa of Middletown, NY; sister, Hilda M. Folchi and companion Francis B. Paige of Middletown, NY; brother-in-law, James Hopkins and his wife Kathleen; sisters-in-law, Ann Marie Hopkins-Drago and Kathleen Hopkins; niece and nephews, Jennifer, Brian and Brendan Hopkins, all of West Nyack; and three granddoggies, Caramel, Zabaione and Zeppole. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 19 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Middletown, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Thomas' name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center or Orange Regional Medical Center.
