Thomas Croak

Thomas Francis Croak, age 89, of Campbell Hall, died, surrounded by loving family and friends, Sunday, February 8, 2015 at ORMC-Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Thomas was born October 4, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Thomas E. Croak and Maisie Clancy Croak. He was a Veteran in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Thomas retired from N.Y. Telephone Co. as a Cable Supervisor. He was a happy spirited Irishman who could tell a great story and be the life of the party with an easy smile. He always was ready to help others including God's four legged creatures. He rescued and cared for many horses, cats and dogs in his lifetime and animal welfare was very important to him. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Croak of New York, NY; sister, Gloria LaFrancesca of Connecticut; a close circle of extended family; his beloved dogs, Clancy and Maggie. He was predeceased by his wife Nancy Cooper Croak, daughter, Kathleen Croak and brother, Raymond Croak. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 12:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Hamptonburgh, RR 207, Campbell Hall, NY with the Reverend Gary Fox officiating.
