Thomas Cione

Thomas J. Cione, Esq., 59, of Goshen died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at home. Thomas was born February 20, 1957 in Queens, NY, the son of Joseph and Rosaria Sara (Troia) Cione. Thomas proudly served for 14 years as justice for the town and village of Goshen. In addition to his private practice in Goshen, the Law Office of Thomas J. Cione, he practiced in the federal courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Thomas was dedicated to his family; everything he did was for them. He was a member of the Trinity Assembly of God; the Central Orange County Italian American Association; and the New York Bar Association. He loved the Mets and the Ramones. He is survived by his wife Lynn Cione; his parents, Joseph and Rosaria Sara Cione; son, Daniel Paul Cione; daughters, Elizabeth Cirin Cione and Rebekah Leigh Cione; brother, Joseph Cione and wife Pamela; sisters, Rosanna Granada and husband Roberto, Delia Donofrio and husband John, Marisa Velez-Spina and husband Joseph, and Laura Cione; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Joaquin Velez. A Memorial Visitation and Service to Celebrate Tom's life will be from 2 -5 pm on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, with the Service at 5 pm with Pastor Jerry Bricker officiating.
