Theresa M. Welyczko, 74, of Middletown, died Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Theresa was born August 24, 1942 in Florida, NY, the daughter of Thaddeus and Maria (Dwarski) Stankiewicz. Theresa was born and raised in Florida, NY and grew up on the onion farms in Pine Island. She worked as a nurse's aide for 23 years at St. Theresa's Nursing Home in Middletown, NY. She is survived by her husband, William C. Welyczko at home; children, William J. Welyczko and wife Courtney of Westtown, NY, Suzanne Iazzetti and husband Benjamin of Monroe, NY and Joseph Purta and companion Noreen Phillips of the state of Florida; brother, Thaddeus Stankiewicz of Florida, NY; sisters, Ann Palmer of Pine Bush, NY, Rosemarie Dembeck and husband Frank of Pine Island, Genevieve Lusignan and husband Arthur of Middletown, and Dora Zolonski of Charlotte, NC; 4 grandchildren, Callen, Ryan, Joan Marie and Rebecca; and many nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by her parents, Thaddeus and Maria. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 3 from 5 to 8 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 90 Euclid Ave., Middletown, NY. Burial will follow in Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen. Arrangements under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen.
