Theresa Pauline C. Murphy, 88, of Montgomery, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Theresa was born July 6, 1928 in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of Peter and Florence (Jatoft) Charnesy. Beloved wife of the late Francis Gerard Murphy. Theresa was an only child but her Aunt Martha Romatowski who predeceased her was like an older sister to her. Theresa was educated at St. Casimir's and graduated from Butler Business School. She started her secretarial career working in NYC, then moving up to Rockland County, and then Orange. Theresa retired from the Veteran's Service Agency at the Orange County Government, Goshen, NY as an Administrative Assistant. She enjoyed working after retirement and most recently worked for Nexxlinx of NY in Newburgh from 1997-2013. Theresa enjoyed life, she was 88 and would have gone a thousand more. She loved travelling, swimming, baseball games, reading and most of all being with her family. Her greatest accomplishment was bringing happiness to others especially as a devoted mother with her unconditional love and care. She is survived by her children, Paul Murphy (Analine) of Lakeland, Florida; Pamela Wilson (Tom Gaffney) Saugerties, NY; William Murphy (Paty) Port Jervis, NY; and Sharon Murphy Montgomery, NY; 5 grandchildren, Scott Murphy, Cheryl Romero (Mario) San Diego, CA, Christina Murphy, Christopher Murphy and Patrick Murphy; 3 great grandchildren, Perla, Jazmin and Mario; cousin, Cristine Romatowski; son-in-law, David R. Wilson and daughter-in-law, Merlyn Sizemore, niece Denise Schwaigert, and other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, July 15 from 4 to 7 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:00 am on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY.
