Suzanne Donovan

Suzanne F. Donovan, 86, of Goshen (formerly of Stony Point, NY) entered into rest on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY surrounded by loving family members. Suzanne was born January 11, 1933 in Goshen, NY, the daughter of Joseph C. Donovan and Margaret (Curtin) Donovan. She attended Saint Johns School in Goshen. In 1955 Sue graduated from Sargent College, a part of Boston University. She earned a degree in Physical Therapy and went to work for New York State at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, where she worked for 32 years. She was an adventurous international traveler and loved golfing and boating on the Hudson in her spare time. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed family gatherings. She is survived by her loving brothers, Joseph R Donovan of Goshen and John P Donovan of Charlotte, NC, 12 nephews and 4 nieces, 11 great nephews, 7 great nieces and one great great nephew. They all claim her as their favorite, feisty aunt. She was predeceased by her brother J Robert Donovan, DDS, and her sisters Marilee Dardenne of Mahwah, NJ and Carole Regal of Goshen. Visitation will be Sunday, April 28 from 2-5 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring nurses, doctors, and staff members of the Orange Regional Medical Center, the Palliative Care Team, Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties and Sister Anne. If you would like to make a donation in honor of Suzanne, the Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties was most helpful during her short illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
