Stephen Riccardulli

April 22, 1945 — November 29, 2021

Stephen Riccardulli, residing in the town of Montgomery, NY, passed away peacefully at Garnet Hospital after a short illness on Monday, November 29th, 2021 while surrounded by his loving family. He was 76 years old. Stephen, the son of Bette and John Riccardulli was born on April 22, 1945 in Peoria, Illinois. He grew up in the Bronx, where he attended school at the Bedford Park Academy. After graduation, he attended college at Boston University. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967. He was employed by Verizon Communications as a telephone technician for thirty five years, retiring in 2001. Although he grew up and worked in the Bronx, he was a country guy at heart. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable and flower gardens and working outdoors in the yard. Steve loved dogs in all shapes and sizes and was most happy spending time at the Orange County Dog Park with his faithful Airedale companion by his side. He served for six years as a Boy Scout Leader for Troop #63 in Goshen, NY. He enjoyed all aspects of this organization including the week-long camping adventures, educational trips and canoeing down the waterways in the Hudson Valley. He was proud to serve as an Eagle Scout Advisor for his two step-sons, Matthew and Daniel Guilfoyle. He looked back on these years of scouting with much pride and enjoyment. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lynn, his children Dawn Vasquez (Edgar), Dina Whitehead (Ralph), William Riccardulli (Veronica), Tia Riccardulli and his step-sons, Daniel Guilfoyle (Erin) and Matthew Guilfoyle (Lisa). He is also survived by his brother Ronald Riccardulli (Christine) and his grandchildren, Briana Campbell, Tristen Whitehead, Thomas Riccardulli, Olivya Scott, Branden Whitehead, Samantha Riccardulli and Eva Riccardulli, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Last but not least he is survived by his 4-legged and beloved side kick, his Airedale, Maggie. He was predeceased by his parents Bette and John and his brother, Anthony Riccardulli and sister-in-law, Linda Riccardulli. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 1-4 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 S. Church Street, Goshen, NY.
