Sharyn Monastero

Sharyn R. Monastero, 68, of Bloomingburg, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Sharyn was born March 10, 1949 in Mount Vernon, NY, the daughter of Thomas and Sylvia (Castaldo) Forte. She was the widow of Philip L. Monastero. She retired from David's Bridal, Middletown, NY. She is survived by her children, Aimee Monastero-Olivet, Cory Monastero; and her son-in-law, Joseph Olivet; daughter-in-law, Kristie Monastero; and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Ward. She is also survived by her sister, Sandy Chester and brother-in-law Gary Chester; Her mother-in-law, Teresa Monastero; her grandchildren, Matthew and Emma Olivet, Brayden and Colin Monastero, Emma Paige and Payton Olivet; three nieces and two nephews; and a number of other relatives and close friends. Sharyn was a loving mother and grandmother who prided herself on her children and grandchildren. She was a lover of all things red, elephants, and handbags. Sharyn will always be remembered as someone who loved unconditionally and was there for anyone whenever they needed it. She was truly loved while with us and will be missed dearly in her passing. Memorial Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 3 to 5 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, with a Service in the funeral home at 5 pm.
