Ruth Blackburne Hart Ottaway Campbell Hall, New York Ruth Blackburne Hart Ottaway, 101, of Campbell Hall died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at home. Mrs. Ottaway was born July 29, 1910 in Brooklyn Heights, NY, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Blackburne (Condit) Hart. She was the widow of James Haller Ottaway, Sr., who died at Arden Hill Hospital in Goshen on January 4, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Ottaway Sherer of San Mateo, CA; and 2 sons, James H. Ottaway, Jr. of New Paltz, NY and David Blackburne Ottaway of Washington, D.C.; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 17 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Orange County Park Arboretum at the Jim and Ruth Ottaway Education Center on Route 416 in Hamptonburgh. Burial will be private in Hamptonburgh Cemetery.
