Peggy was born December 17, 1925 inHackensack,NJ, the daughter of Albert J. Meyers and Mary Gertrude (Paul) Meyers. Peggy loved animals, especially dogs; she and her husband Richard bred and exhibited Great Danes for 25 years. She was an avid oil painter. After Richard retired from his position of Bergen County Executive, Peggy and Richard moved toWallkill,NY. She is survived by her husband: Richard L. Nelson ofGoshen; son, Scott P. Nelson and wife Grace ofWyckoff, NJ; daughter, Stacey L. Nelson ofNewburgh; sister, Barbara Poitras ofCarmel,CA; and grandchildren,Austinand Paige Nelson, and Stephen Bishop. Peggy was predeceased by her brother, Albert J. Meyers, Jr. Visitation will be Thursday, January 16 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc,82 South Church Street,Goshen,NY.
