Russell W. Reynolds, 88, of Goshen, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Andover Subacute Rehab, in Andover, NJ. Russ was born September 17, 1927 in Maybrook, NY, the son of Walter O. Reynolds and Sadie D. (Kniffen) Reynolds. He was the husband of Carolyn Nichols Reynolds. Russ retired from Chester Cable in Chester, N.Y. as a Cable Spooler. He was a member of the Cataract Engine & Hose Co. in Goshen; the Slate Hill Pacers in Slate Hill; and Retired Travelling Friends of Slate Hill. He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Goshen. Survivors include his wife: Carolyn Reynolds; son, George R. Reynolds and wife Laurie of New Hampton; daughters, Sheryl L. Reynolds of East Stroudsburg, PA and Lisa M. Reynolds of Goshen; grandson, Bryan G. Reynolds of New Hampton; brother-in-law, Clarence H. Nichols and wife Rosemary of Amarillo, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Russ was predeceased by his sister, Florence Sheeley. Visitation will be Thursday, October 29 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, with a Firematic Service at 7:30 pm. The Funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church, 33 Park Pl., Goshen, NY with the Reverend David Kingsley officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgebury Cemetery, Slate Hill, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Russ's name to the Cataract Engine & Hose Company, Goshen, NY 10924 or the First Presbyterian Church of Goshen, 33 Park Pl., Goshen, NY 10924.
