Rosemary Shaughnessy

Rosemary Laroe Shaughnessy, a life long resident of Sugar Loaf, New York passed away on March 8, 2017 at home. She was 92 years old. Rosemary was the daughter of the late Rose Ryan Laroe and Mark K Laroe. She was born on February 26, 1925 in Chester, New York. She retired from serving as Court Clerk for the Town of Chester. Her joy and passion was raising her family. Rosemary was predeceased in 2014 by her loving husband of 65 years, Charles J Shaughnessy. She is survived by her five children: Rosemary Shaughnessy and her husband Don Stark of Sugar Loaf, New York, Carol Gonzalez and her husband Edwin of Horseheads, New York, Barbara Shaughnessy of Wakefield, Rhode Island, Susan Hunt and her husband Trevor of Topsham, Maine, and Kevin Shaughnessy and his wife Desiree Dezanger of Sparks, Maryland. She is also survived by her much adored eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Rosemary was predeceased by her brother Mark K Laroe, Jr. Visitation will be on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 5-7 pm with a prayer service at 6:00pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY 10924. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:30am at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Craigville Road, Goshen, NY.
