ROBERT S. BRIZZOLARA GOSHEN, NEW YORK Robert S Brizzolara, age 84, of Goshen, NY died Monday, August 3 , 2009 at Valley View Center for Nursing Care & Rehab of Goshen. Robert was born August 3, 1925 in Palisades, NY. He is the son of Fred and Carrie (Delo) Brizzolara. He was married to Charlotte Foltete Brizzolara who predeceased him July 21, 2008. Robert was a member of the 94th Infantry Division and served in WW2 from 1943 - 1946 where he received the Purple Heart Medal. He is survived by 2 sons, James R. Brizzolara and his wife Susan of Bloomingburg; NY.; John P. Brizzolara and his wife Theresa of Washingtonville; 2 daughters, Carol D. Davis and husband Richard of Honesdale, PA, Marilyn Macerone and husband Paul of Blooming Grove; brother, Charles of Orangeburg, NY; 9 grandchildren, Carrie Mazanec and husband Kenneth, Joseph and Paul Macerone, Shawn Bihler, Christopher and Danielle Brizzolara, Josephine, John and Jacqueline Brizzolara; 2 great grandchildren, Cyrah & Kayne Bihler. He was predeceased by his parents, wife Charlotte, and grandson, Scott Bihler. Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2009 from 6-8 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St., Goshen, with the Funeral Service Immediately Following. Internment will be private at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
