Richard Olsen

Richard Olsen, age 69, of Goshen, NY died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Valley View Center for Nursing Care & Rehab, Goshen. Mr. Olsen was born September 19, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Omar and Catherine (Dola) Olsen. He was married to Paula Evangelista Olsen. He was employed by the New York State Police, Troop F, Middletown, NY as an Investigator. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1955 to 1958. He was a member of the New York State Police Investigators Association. He is survived by his wife: Paula Olsen at home; sons, John R. Olsen and his wife Michelle of Alpharetta, GA and Peter M. Olsen of Goshen; daughter, JoAnne Olsen and her husband Greg of Minisink, NY; five grandchildren, Alec and Lauren Olsen, Abbey, Jack and Charlie Olsen. He was predeceased by a brother, Walter Olsen. Visitation will be at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St. Goshen, Sunday, July 29, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July, 30, 2007 at 12:00 PM at St. John The Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen.
