RAYMOND J. SOSLER, SR. OCTOBER 20, 1925 - DECEMBER 21, 2008 Raymond J. Sosler, Sr., 83, of New Hampton, NY, entered into rest peacefully at home with family at his side on Sunday, December 21, 2008. Raymond was born October 20, 1925 in Florida NY, the son of William and Elizabeth (Greener) Sosler. He was the founder and retired President of Sosler's Garden and Farm Equipment, New Hampton, NY, a volunteer for the New Hampton Fire Police, member of New York State Farm Bureau, National Federation of Independent Business', Northeast Equipment Dealers Association and Ferguson Enthusiasts of North America He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Josie Sosler; sons, Ray Sosler, Jr. and wife Missy of New Hampton, NY, James Sosler and wife Denise of Hayden, Idaho; daughter, Rhonda Hislop of Saratoga Springs, NY; 4 grandchildren, Raymond Sosler III and wife Sally, Ashley Sosler, Sarah Hislop and Colin Hislop; great grandson, Raymond Sosler, IV; brother, Frank Sosler of Spring Hill, FL; 3 sisters, Charlotte Gutowski of New Hampton, NY, Pauline Jankowski and husband Henry of New Hampton, NY and Lena Black of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 4 brothers, John, Bill, Edward and Martin. Visitation will be Friday, December 26, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St., Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Murray Ave., Goshen. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Middletown, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Raymond's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
