Rachael D'Auria

Rachael D'Auria, long time resident of Goshen, died on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the age of 87.

Rachael was born in Queens, N.Y., the daughter and eldest child of Rose and Joseph D'Auria. She moved to the Goshen area in the early 1990s. She often said how she enjoyed seeing the horses in the fields and the open space of the area. Rachael enjoyed spending time with her family, doating on her grandchildren. She enjoyed board games, old movies, and game shows!

Rachael is survived by her children, Cathy, Larry and Anthony, their spouses, Sheila, Helen and Loreci, grandchildren, Jeannie, Sammy, Joseph, Lawrence, Jackie, Tabitha, Jessica and Melanie, great-grandchildren, Lily, Joseph, Rosella, Finlee, Anthony and Levi, her Aunt Edith, her brother, Michael, her cousin Kelly, and nephew Christopher.

Her children will never forget her love and support as they grew up! Her daughter, Cathy, remembers, "Mom always understood the party didn't start until 11pm! She never gave a curfew but insisted on being called for pick up on late nights. Mom stood by me no matter what. I'll miss her forever."

Larry, her eldest son's loving emotion – "I'm glad to have had her for 61 years. I love you, Mom."

Her youngest son, Anthony, reflects, "We had a good Mom. She was always there for us and never had a problem giving us her greatest assets – her love and time. Thanks, Mom, for always being there and I'll always remember – I'm NEVER too old for you to give me a slap! LOL"

Rachael's family will miss her at the table, her love, understanding, advice and support.
