Petrus "Peter" Persoon Goshen, New York Petrus "Peter" Persoon, 77, of Goshen, NY died Friday, December 12, 2008 at Campbell Hall Health Care Center, Campbell Hall, NY. Peter was born May 20, 1931 in Rotterdam-Sehiebroek, Netherland, the son of Hendricus and Cornelia (DeGroot) Persoon. He was a Dairy Farmer. He is survived by his wife, Alida Persoon at home; sons, Hans Persoon and wife Clara of Goshen, NY and Jack Persoon and wife Jennifer of Interlaken, NY; brothers, Cees, Hans and Chris Persoon all of the Netherlands; sisters, Barbara Hoogeveen of Saratoga, NY, Lenny VanBronkhorst of Belgium, Bep Hoogeveen of Netherland, Ria Cools of Belgium, Corry Kok of Netherlands and Tilly Mooyman of Venice, FL; 5 grandchildren, Jacob Persoon, Jessica Persoon of Interlaken, Peter Persoon, Hank Persoon and Andrew Persoon of Goshen and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Joseph H. Persoon, daughter, Janette Cornelia Maria Persoon and sister, Magda VanSaase. Visitation will be Monday, December 15, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 16, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
