Peter Dennis Duffy

Peter Dennis Duffy, 75, of Otisville, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2021, at Garnet Medical Center, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in 1946, in the Bronx, NY, to parents Veronica and Francis, Peter was one of five children. He married his wife Barbara in 1965 and was known for his love and devotion to his wife and children, Kevin, Kerrie, and Brian. Peter had a great passion for sports and loved watching his children and grandchildren play baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and basketball. He enjoyed coaching CYO and refereeing basketball in his younger days and devoted much of his life to caring and advocating for his late son, Kevin and daughter, Kerrie who were diagnosed with a rare degenerative disorder in 1997. In his spare time, Peter was an avid gardener who developed a deep knowledge of horticulture. Peter was predeceased by his son, Kevin, his brother Steven, and parents Veronica and Francis. Peter is survived by his loving wife Barbara, daughter Kerrie, son Brian and his wife Kristen, granddaughters, Anna, Emma, and Keira, as well as his sisters and many nieces, and nephews. The Duffy's would like to thank Doctors' Fruchter and Dinsmore for their care and support. In lieu of gifts, donations can be made to Hospice of Orange County. Visitation will be Thursday, September 9 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial to Celebrate his life will be held 11:00 am on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Holy Name Of Jesus Church, 45 Highland Ave, Otisville, NY.
