The Very Reverend Olexij Kostyk Clifton, New Jersey Formerly Glen Spey, New York The Very Reverend Olexij Kostyk, 82, of Clifton, NJ died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Arbor Grove Rehabilitation Center, Cedar Grove, NJ. Born June 16, 1930 in the Ukraine, the son of the late Wasyl and the late Maria (Irodenko) Kostyk. He was the widower of Martha Kostyk. The Very Reverend Olexij Kostyk was the priest at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Catholic Church in Glen Spey, NY and St. John the Baptist in Hunter, NY. He is survived by his children, Very Reverend Yaroslav Kostyk and wife Maria, Reverend Marian Kostyk and wife Maryna, Reverend Yurij Kostyk, and Bohdana Zownirowycz and husband, Very Reverend Oleh; 7 grandchildren, and family in Ukraine and Canada. Parastas will be on Monday, September 3, at 6:00 pm at St. Andrews Ukrainian Catholic Church, Campbell Hall, NY and a Divine Liturgy of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 4 at 11:00 am at St. Andrews Ukrainian Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Campbell Hall, New York. Arrangements under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen.
