MICHAEL ANTHONY MARCO February 28, 1942 - October 6, 2016 Goshen, NY Michael Anthony Marco, 74, of Goshen, NY, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016. Michael was born the son of the late Michael J. and Virginia F. (Bianco) Marco on February 28, 1942 in Baldwin, NY. Michael served his country from 1967-1969 as a 1LT in the U.S. Army. Mike was a driven individual. Over his many years working in New York City, Mike was a senior vice president of sales and marketing, a sales executive, a senior account manager, and ultimately retired as a branch manager of IT Consulting in 2001. His business savvy and ability to problem solve in creative ways made him a well sought after guide and consultant in his professional and personal circles. Michael was a Renaissance man - an avid fisherman, a master woodworker and a culinary craftsman. He enjoyed tending his tropical fish, bonsai plants and Japanese gardens. Mike was an active member in his local Harley Davidson chapter as a safety officer. For the past 18 years, his heart was filled with time spent making memories with his two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 Years, Anne (Russel) Marco on July 14, 2016. Survivors include his beloved family: daughters, Karyn Hughes (Timothy) of Goshen and Jacquelyn Marco of Brooklyn; son, Michael Marco of Middletown; grandchildren, Catherine and Brendan Hughes of Goshen; sister, Diane Mazur (Ed) of Long Island; brother, James Marco (Maureen) of Rochester; sister-in-law, Madeline Kline of Manchester, New Jersey; uncle, Rudy Marco (Fran) of Vero Beach, FL, several nieces and nephews, and many dear cousins. Many thanks to the genuinely caring and compassionate people at the 5 North wing of ORMC, Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, and the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, especially Sister Ann Daly, who made Mike and his family most comfortable. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at St. John's The Evangelist Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen, NY. Burial will follow at the Orange County Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY with Military Honors.
