Michael J. Gray

Michael J. Gray, Sr., age 83, of Middletown entered into rest Tuesday, May 31, 2022 after a short battle with cancer, peacefully surrounded in love by his family. Michael was born July 4, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late John and the late Mary Quigg Gray. He married Nora Brooks. He served in the Army from 1958 to 1960. He was a fireman with the FDNY for 30 years. Michael is survived by his wife of 54 years: Nora (Brooks) Gray; his children, Laura Gray and partner Donna Cary, Helen Lynch and husband Kenneth, Michael Gray and wife Alison, and Mary Shanly and husband Brian; his grandchildren, Joshua, Nora, Grace, Declan, Niamh, Teagan, Niall and Fiona He was predeceased by his son Joseph Gray and grandson Finnegan Gray. Visitation will be Friday, June 3 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at St Joseph's Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Mausoleum, Middletown.
