Mary W. MacEntee, 99, of Schenectady, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center, Schenectady, NY. Mary was born February 15, 1915 in New York, NY, the daughter of Adam and Olga (Pupka) Zelkovsky. She grew up in New York City and lived in Queens and Brooklyn, she later moved to Goshen where she lived for more than 30 years. Mary retired as a waitress from the Drug and Chemical Club, New York, NY, and she was a member of the Goshen VFW. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold MacEntee and her son James MacEntee. Mary was known and loved for her cheerful, vivacious energy and her zest for life, as well as her laugh and joyful smile. She will be greatly missed. So long, Mary. So long! She is survived by her brother, Eugene Zelkovsky and his wife Alice; 5 grandchildren, Christeen, Brian, Kevin, Dan and Kerry; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen,, NY. Burial will follow in New Paltz Cemetery, New Paltz, NY. Arrangements under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen, NY.
