Marjorie Carroll

Marjorie V. Carroll, of Goshen, NY entered into rest Sunday, March 10, 2013. She was 87. Marjorie was born November 23, 1925 in Goshen, NY, the daughter of Louis H. Vavricka and Agnes (Noha) Vavricka. Marjorie was a Licensed Insurance Broker and Real Estate Agent before retirement, she was a member of the National Honor Society, was active as a girl scout leader, Organizer of Little League candy sales, member of the Orange Co. Insurance Women, member and Chaplain of the American Legion Auxiliary #212, DAV 212 Auxiliary Life Member and she volunteered at the Red Door Thrift Shop She is survived by her husband, Archie J.Carroll; her son, Thomas J. Lane and wife Nancy Ward Lane; three stepsons, Wayne Carroll and wife Nancy Spindler Carroll, Daniel Carroll and Michael Carroll; three grandchildren, Christine Thonus, Stacie Hildago and husband Fernando, Thomas Lane, Jr.,; 9 great grandchildren and one step grandson, Trevor Carroll. She was predeceased by her mother and father, sister, Louise Morse, brother, Louis Vavricka, Jr.; newborn daughter, Carla; and stepson, Robert Carroll Visitation will be Thursday, March 14 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The funeral will be Friday, March 15 at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home, with Pastor Steven Peiffer officiating. Burial will follow in Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen.
