Marian Dolney

Marian Jean Dolney, 86, of Goshen, died peacefully, Monday, February 12, 2018 at home. Marian was born March 6, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Andrew and the late Mary (Kanyuk) Kuriplach. She married Lt. Robert R. Dolney, of the NYC Fire Dept. on July 12, 1952 and was predeceased by her husband on March 5, 1980. Jean was an accomplished seamstress for over 20 years and tailored all of her daughters' school clothes as well as prize winning Halloween costumes. After her husband's passing Jean volunteered many years at Brentwood Ambulance on Long Island in addition to the V.F.W. bingo hall. From her first home to her last she took pride in tending to her beautiful flower gardens. Jean will always be remembered for her generosity as she donated faithfully to several organizations. She is survived by children, Robert Dolney and wife Corinne of Goshen; Diane Dolney-Dillon of Cherry Hill, NJ; Dawne Dolney of Scottsdale, AZ and Donna Gehr and husband Jack of Davie, FL; brothers, John Kuriplach and Andrew Kuriplach; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, February 18, from 12:30-2:30 and 5:00-7:00pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 S. Church St., Goshen, NY with funeral service at 6:30pm. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY on Monday, February 19, at 12:00pm.
