Lisa Wase Nemec

Lisa Wase Nemec, 56, passed away Monday November 21, 2022, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Catskill, NY the daughter of Carman and Celestina Wase of Catskill, NY. Lisa grew up and graduated from high school in Catskill. She went on to study and earn her Bachelor of Science degree from Siena College in 1990. It's during this time at Siena that Lisa met her partner and husband Mark whom she shared the last 34 years.

Lisa and Mark were married on September 25, 1993, where they first settled in the Schoharie Valley and eventually settled in Orange County in early 1998. It's here where Lisa continued to develop and grow as a medical device sales professional, a businesswoman, a mentor to so many, an advocate for family and friends, and a beloved mother and wife. She was selfless with her time and dedication to helping those she was surrounded by in both her personal and professional life.

Lisa's career in the medical device industry spanned 30 years. Most of which was spent as a marketing and sales professional representing Zimmer and eventually Zimmer Biomet. For the last 24 years in the Hudson Valley, she built and developed a brand identity of caring, commitment, technical prowess, service, and an unyielding belief in the products and services she represented. Her dedication to her craft, the medical professionals and patients she served, and a career filled with wonderful colleagues has left an indelible mark in so many lives and in the region. She thoroughly loved what she did and those she had the privilege of working with and serving.

During her extremely busy career Lisa and Mark raised their children Leah and William. It wasn't easy but help from extremely loving and caring friends made it possible. Lisa made every effort to participate in any school activity with the kids that she could. Her dedication to her career is only surpassed by her dedication to her children. The years were filled with family trips to wonderful locations, uncountable soccer matches and tournaments, school events, and parties in the back by the pool. As of late, she and Mark were once again venturing into water sports, getting back into golf, and taking trips together with retirement on their minds. Lisa loved spending time with her siblings. She drew much strength, support, and comfort from them throughout her life. She loved being surrounded by her family.

To sum it all up "She didn't give up; She never gave up"! She leaves behind so many friends and family that have had their hearts touched and lives forever changed by her.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Mark Nemec, her daughter Leah Nemec and son William Nemec; her mother Celestina Wase, her sister Linda Wase (Eric), her brothers John (Michelle) Wase and Robert Wase, her mother-in-law Mary Nemec, brother-in-law Drew (Ellen) Nemec, and sister-in-law Nancy (Sean) McGee. Also, survived by her many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Visitation to celebrate Lisa's life will be Saturday, December 10 from 1-4 pm at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
