Linda Telgheder

Linda L. Telgheder, 79, of Slate Hill, died Sunday, February 11, 2018 at home. Linda was born April 18, 1938 in St. Albans, Queens, NY, the daughter of the late Henry Davis and the late Mary (Smith) Davis. Linda, while also a homemaker, spent the passing years working at the family business, Slate Hill Orchards, getting to know the local residents and enjoying many happy and active years living on the farm. She will be fondly remembered for her energetic personality, her quirky sense of humor and her love of animals. From making lovely desserts, to refinishing antique furniture, to becoming an accomplished seamstress, her creative spirit touched everything around her. She was an avid gardener and had a keen eye for interior decorating. She loved watching classic movies while leafing through her beloved decorating books. Linda had a sharp wit and loved crossword puzzles and playing board and card games with her family. She was happiest spending time with her family and working in her garden, surrounded by flowers, in the summer sun. She is survived by her husband, Jerre Telgheder at home; her children, Brad Telgheder, Stephen Telgheder and wife Lauren, Craig Telgheder and wife Shari and Karen Fogarty and husband Joseph; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Zachary, Zoe, Sophie, Kiel, Corrine, Skylar, Katie and Ian. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara and brother Roger. Visitation will be Thursday, February 15 from 4 to 7 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Funeral Home, with the Reverend David Kingsley officiating. Burial will follow in Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown.
