Lillian L. Varner-Neal, 77, of Campbell Hall, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Lillian was born February 14, 1937 in West Springfield, MA, the daughter of Byron Robert LaBombard and Eunice (Baines) LaBombard. Lillian was a nurse for Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Newburgh, NY and a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Max Neal, Jr. at home; son, John H. Varner Jr. and wife Angela of Southborough, MA; step son, Greg Neal and wife Galena of Seminole, FL; step daughter, Ginger Gross and husband Don Paul of Nashville, TN; brothers, John LaBombard of Albuquerque, NM and Robert LaBombard of Kinslow, MI; sisters, Alice Cyr of Wendell, MA and Patricia Beecher of Midway, GA; grandchildren, Alexandra Varner, Madison, Morgan and Max Neal and Olivia, Logan, Nolan and Victoria Gross and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service and reception will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Goshen United Methodist Church, 115 Main Street, Goshen, NY 10924 with Reverend DaleEllen Krazmien officiating. Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to the Goshen United Methodist Church, 110 Webster Avenue, Goshen, NY 10924 or Hospice of Orange and Sullivan counties ( hospiceoforange.com/giving/ ). Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen.
