Lawrence Peter Zabachta, age 87, Goshen died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at ORMC - Horton Campus Middletown, NY. Mr. Zabachta was born June 11, 1923 in New York, NY. He is the son of the late Peter O. Zabachta and the late Nora (Secreta) Zabachta. He is married to Elizabeth (Hewitt) Zabachta. He served in the Army during WW 2. He was employed by Orange County Dept Of Social Services, Goshen, NY as an Assessor. Lawrence was a former member of the Goshen VFW post #1708 The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Goshen Volunteer Ambulance Corp and also to the Goshen Village police Department He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth H Zabachta at home; 1 Daughter - Lynn Valerie Zabachta & her husband Wayne M. Cummins of Goshen, NY; Sister - Valerina Connor of Goshen, NY; Niece - Margaret V. Gugliotta & her husband Joseph of New Hampton, NY; Nephew - Edward P. Connor of Goshen, NY; The funeral will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, October 11 at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. Burial will be in Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown, NY.
