Lawrence Mcgrath

Lawrence James McGrath New Windsor, NY Lawrence James McGrath, 83, of New Windsor, NY passed away peacefully, under the care of the loving staff at Valley View Center for Nursing Care in Goshen on Monday, October 31, 2011. Lawrence was born February 23, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Lawrence and Emma (Bishop) McGrath. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war 1950-1952 and received two Bronze Stars. Worked for Towns and James Pharmaceuticals as a Pharmaceutical Buyer and later retired from West Point Military Academy. He is survived by the love of his live, his wife, Mary A. McGrath of New Windsor; son, Kevin McGrath and wife Barbara of Walden; daughter, Eileen McMillan and husband Dave of Palm Coast, FL; son, Shawn McGrath and wife Lisamarie of New Windsor; grandchildren, Jamie McMillan, Lindsey McMillan, Brendan McGrath and Ashlyn McGrath; great granddaughter, Lexi. A private Mass and burial will be held with the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Lawrence's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
