Larry F. Zawaski

Larry F. Zawaski, age 65, of Wawayanda passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Memorial Sloan Kettering of New York, NY.

The son of Frederick and Wanda (Range) Zawaski, Larry was born on November 11, 1957 in Middletown, NY. He married his beloved wife, Dawn Fischer, thirty years ago. Since 1988, Larry was the owner of Larry's Auto & Truck Sales in Middletown.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife: Dawn (Fischer) Zawaski and their dog Lulu. He leaves behind three children and seven grandchildren, who were his pride and joy: Nicolle (John) Bernieri and their four children: EllaReese, AbbaLayne, Jameson and AutumnLyric; Alyse (Kevin) Nappo and their three children: Lillian, Greyson, and Delaney; and James (Emma) Zawaski. His siblings: Dennis Baranowski; Peter Zawaski; Polly Michella. He is preceded by his brothers Gary Baranowski and James Zawaski, and his dog Foxy.

Larry spent his youth traveling and working across the country and abroad, before settling back in Middletown and meeting his wife. In their thirty-five years, Larry and Dawn enjoyed making memories traveling, including to his favorite destination: the Florida Keys.

When he wasn't traveling he could be found at a concert at Bethel, or on the golf course. Larry was always up for a round of golf or hitting a bucket of balls- as long as he could "make a few bucks"!

Larry was an avid animal lover. He was deeply proud of his rescued dogs, Foxy and Lulu. They repaid him many times over with love and companionship, which was an enormous gift in his life.

The family thanks: Dr. Sherman, Dr. Downey, Dr. Lee, and Dr. Gregg, as well as his friends, especially Meg Atwood and Liz Gill.

Visitation is Monday, November 28 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.

The Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will be held 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Denton Presbyterian Church, 22 County Road 56, New Hampton, NY, where Larry was a member.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Larry's name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital.
