Larry P. Myruski, 69, a lifetime area resident of Goshen died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at home. He was born March 24, 1941 in Goshen, NY, the son of Alonzo and Tessie (Werhan) Myruski. Larry served in the Navy during the Vietnam War on board the USS Kitty Hawk CVA-63. He was an agent for Met Life Insurance Company and later was employed by Orange County Community College, Middletown, NY as a Senior Shipping and Receiving Personnel. Larry, with his dry sense of humor was the favorite member of the entire Myruski family. He was an avid golfer, harness racing and pro football fan. Unfortunately he did not last to see his October prediction of the Green Bay victory. He is survived by his brother, Lonny W. Myruski of Washingtonville; and sister, Paula Myruski of Manhattan. He was predeceased by his parents, Alonzo and Tessie and his sister, Patricia Myruski of Rock Tavern. There will be no visitation or services. Burial will be in the family plot in St. John's Cemetery, Goshen at a later date. Contributions may be made in Larry's name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550 Arrangements under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen.
