KENNETH G. SULLIVAN February 25, 1930 - October 8, 2016 Goshen, NY Kenneth G. Sullivan, a resident of Goshen, NY and Brooklyn, NY, passed away on October 8, 2016. He was born February 25, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Margaret and Daniel F. Sullivan. He was the devoted husband of Helen (Priday) at home; the beloved father of Daniel F. and his wife, Mary of Goshen, Kenneth G. and his wife, Lisa of Madison, NJ, Richard P. and his wife, Mary Jean of Carmel, NY, George P. of Brooklyn, and Elizabeth Anne (Lizanne) at home. He was the fond grandfather of Daniel F., John C. (Jack) and Joseph K. of Goshen and Marisa, Cara and Juliana of Madison, NJ. He was the loving brother of William of Brooklyn and of the late Daniel, Eugene, Michael and Grace Atwood. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a Marine Corp veteran, and served as a First Grade Detective in the New York City Police Department for 34 years in numerous Detective commands including the 13th Homicide Zone, the Career Criminal Investigative Unit and the 71st Detective Squad. He was a recipient of the Police Combat Cross. He was a parishioner of St John the Evangelist RC Church in Goshen and a long time parishioner of St. Ephrem's RC Church in Brooklyn, where he was a member of the Usher's Society and the Chairman of Cub Scout Pack 11. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the St. John the Evangelist RC Church, 71 Murray Avenue, Goshen, NY. Interment will be held at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, Long Island, NY following the Mass.
