Kathleen (Kay) M. McCormick August 5, 1925 – November 17, 2018 Goshen, NY Kathleen Marie McCormick, age 93, of Goshen, passed away Saturday, November 17th, 2018 in Goshen, NY. Kay was born August 5th, 1925 in Chester, PA. She is the daughter of the late John and Helena McElwee. Kay was predeceased by her loving husband John J. McCormick in 1990 and her sisters, Mary Farrar, Helen Petillo and Sarah Christine Falkowski. She is survived by her sister: Sr. Teresa McElwee of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur; sons, Kenneth McCormick, John McCormick and his wife Deborah; her daughter Kathleen and her husband Robert Kish; grandchildren: Katlyn Kish, Ryan Kish, Devon Kish; Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Sanders and his wife Ana, Ryan Sanders and his wife Katie; great-grandchildren: Paul, Thomas, Hannah and Noah Sanders and several nieces, nephews and friends. Kay graduated with honors from Notre Dame high School in Moylan, Pennsylvania. She worked for many years as an executive secretary for Travelers Insurance in Syracuse, NY. Kay was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Alter Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters. She was involved in knitting club, bridge club and book club with her dear friends. Kay loved traveling and was the Queen of entertainment. She was the biggest fan of Syracuse basketball and now has the best seat in the house. She was a proud and devoted grandmother who adored her grandchildren. Kay was a wonderful woman who lit up the room with her warmth and wit. Her joyful spirit will truly be missed. A visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Monday, November 26th at Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27th at Church of St. John the Evangelist at 71 Murray St. Goshen, NY.
