Joseph Castellano

Joseph J. Castellano, age 74, of Ellenville, died Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Joseph was born May 13, 1943 in Bronx, NY. He is the son of Carmine Castellano and Theresa Kiernan. He served in the US Army, 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles and retired from Ambassador Fuel and Oil, Bronx, NY as an Oil Truck Delivery Driver. He was co-owner of Castle Hill Studio Productions in Ellenville; Joe was a passionate musician, artist, and professional bass player. He is survived by his significant other, Sharon Marie VanWolput; son, Joseph Castellano, Jr.; daughter, Natalie M. Maher and husband Tommy ; daughter Rosemarie Castellano, sister, Diane Ciofalo and husband Skip ; 4 grandchildren, Thomas and Alissa Maher and Laura and Samantha Castellano; several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Carl Castellano. Visitation will be Thursday, June 22 from 5 to 8 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am on Friday, June 23, 2017 at St. John The Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will be private with the family. In lieu of flowers, family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Saint Jude or a charity of your choice.
