JOHN J. MURPHY MT. KISCO, NEW YORK John J. Murphy, 82, of, Mt. Kisco, NY passed away Friday, March 7, 2008 at Somers Manor Nursing Home in Somers, NY. John was born May 25, 1925 in New York, NY the son of Charles Murphy and Anna Wilson Murphy. He was a former member of St. Francis of Assisi Church of Mt. Kisco, NY where he resided for 30 years. John graduated from Power Memorial High School and attended City College of New York. He was a retired accountant from Texaco Corporation. John was an avid stamp collector, enjoyed gardening and completing the New York Times crossword puzzle. John was predeceased by his sister Evelyn D. Murphy. He is survived by his brother Gabbett A. and his wife Jean of Goshen; and five nieces and nephews, Gerard Murphy of PA, Mary Beth Steimers of Goshen, Eileen Wrabel of CT, Thomas Murphy of KY, Richard Murphy of NC and six grand nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 8:30 9:30 am on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen. Internment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Hudson Valley Chapter, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Ste. 203, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 or to a charity of ones choice.
