JOAN H. SPECHT ROCK TAVERN, NEW YORK Joan H. Specht, 65, of Rock Tavern, NY, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Cornwall Hospital, Cornwall, NY. Joan was born July 19, 1943 in Swan Lake, NY the daughter of Clarence and Naomi (Vandermark) Specht. Joan is retired from the Washingtonville Central School District. She was a member of the Hamptonburgh Grange and the United Church of Christ of Blooming Grove. She left behind many family members and friends that will miss her greatly. She is survived by her mother, Naomi Specht of Rock Tavern, NY; brothers, Clarence Specht and wife Janet of Beverly Hills, FL, Henry Specht and wife Nancy of New Windsor, NY, Gary Specht and wife Marianne of Wallkill, NY and Douglas Specht of Rock Tavern, NY, sister, Carleen Roy and John Roy of Canadiagua, NY; nephews, Dennis Carpenter and wife Cris, Henry Specht, Jr. and wife Stacey, Gary Specht, Jr. and wife Alyson, and Michael Specht; nieces, Tracy MacDonald and husband Brian, Brenda Specht, Gwen Cunningham, Marlena Herbert and husband Matthew, Michelle Merring and husband Richard, Barbara Fisher and husband Larry and Kathy Bader and husband Joseph; many loving great nieces and nephews; also aunts, Charlotte Nead, Helen Specht, Eleanor Johannaman. She was predeceased by her dad Clarence Specht. Visitation will be Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 2-5 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. Funeral Services will be Monday, March 23, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Blooming Grove United Church of Christ, Rt. 94, Blooming Grove, NY. Burial will be private.
