Joan Flanagan New Hampton, New York Joan Flanagan, 71, of New Hampton died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed. Joan was born May 24, 1940 in Newark, NJ, the daughter of Francis and Irma (Ayers) Flanagan. She was a tailor for Mr. Ed's Dry Cleaners, Florida, NY. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Krawcyk Conklin; 2 granddaughters, Misty Conklin and Andrea Conklin; grandson, Alan Conklin, Jr. all of New Hampton; 2 sisters, Sharon Zeszutek of New Hampton and Kathleen Krawcyk of Warwick; 2 brothers, John Flanagan of Middletown and Raymond Schoenleber of Airmont, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her parents, brother, Francis "Fran" Flanagan and son-in-law, Alan "Bruce" Conklin, Sr. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 20 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The funeral will be on Wednesday, September 21 at 10:00 am in the Funeral Home, with Reverend George R. Doering, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Florida Cemetery, Florida, NY at a later date.
