He is the son of the late Hiram Ortiz and the late Rita (Quintana) Ortiz. Hiram was Retired from Columbia University, N.Y., N.Y. where he was a Refrigeration Engineer for 41 years,. He was a United States Army Veteran He is survived by his wife: Dinora(Rodriguez) Ortiz at Home; .; Daughter – DeChantell Muffoletto & her husband Ross and Grandson - Ethan of Bronx, NY. Son – David Ortiz of Hartford, Conn.;. Sisters – Awilda Cohen & her husband William of Charlotte, NC., Evelyn Casal of Middletown, NY; Multiple Nieces & Nephews.
