Henry Augustus Mandato, 77, ofGoshendied Thursday, February 20, 2014 atHackensackMedicalCenter,Hackensack,NJ. Henry was born February 20, 1937 inGoshen,NY, the son of Henry Eugene and Carmela (Imperato) Mandato. . He attendedSt. John'sElementary School,GoshenHigh Schoolfor 2 years and graduated fromAdmiralFarragutAcademyin Toms River, NJ in 1955. He graduated from SUNY Delhi where he met his first wife Virginia Thorington who predeceased him in 1979. Henry owned and operated O'Henry's Luncheonette now known as Elsie's Luncheonette for over 20 years. He then worked for the Times Herald Record for 15 years and Alders Florist. A diehard Army Football fan for over 30 years, an avid home wine maker, he volunteered for the Tour de Goshen for 20 years, delivered for Meals-on-Wheels and the Goshen Ecumenical Food Pantry, and he loved to vacation in Puerto Rico. He is survived by his wife, Ann Mandato at home; daughter, Michelle Baldessari and husband Karl of Sisters, Oregon; son, Stephen Mandato and wife Terri of Rochester, NY; stepsons, Robert Krawczyk and wife Laura of Homer Glen, IL, Michael Krawczyk and wife Deborah of Manassas, VA and Lake Ariel, PA, James Krawczyk and wife Suzanne of Woodstock, VT, Peter Krawczyk and wife Carllise of Tyngsboro, MA, and David Krawczyk and wife Karen of Chester, NY; grandchildren, Brittany, Tyler, Ian, Amy, Dan, John, Brent, DJ, Danielle, Katie, Cassandra, Matthew, Alexa, Hannah, Caroline, Alden, Theodore, April, Zachary and Lindsey; and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 26 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc,82 South Church Street,Goshen,NY. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, February 27 at St. John The Evangelist R.C. Church,71 Murray Ave,Goshen,NY. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made in Henry's name to the Goshen Ecumenical Food Pantry,33 Park Place,Goshen,NY10924or the Tour de Goshen,20 West Main Street,Goshen,NY10924.
