Helen Turner

Helen Turner, 83, of Goshen passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. Helen was born October 19, 1927 in Goshen, NY, the daughter of Charles Manuel, Sr. and Stella (Cudjo) Manuel. Helen was a retired seamstress in Middletown, NY and a member of St. John's AUMP Church in Goshen. She is survived by her son, Steven W. Turner of Middletown; sister, Gloria Vivian Charles of Goshen; grandchildren, Darren W. Turner of Middletown and Dawn R. Turner of Middletown; 3 great grandchildren, Darren William Baird, Shaniece L. Turner and Johnathan E. Bernard all of Middletown. The family would like to thank the staff at Kaplan Hospice House for the loving care they gave to Helen. Visitation will be Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, with the Funeral Service in the funeral home at 1:00 pm Burial will be in Slate Hill Cemetery at a later date.
