HAROLD B. "BUB" DALY December 19, 1925 - May 29, 2016 Goshen, NY Harold Daly died peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2016 surrounded by loved ones at his home in Goshen, New York. He was born in New York City on December 19, 1925 to Kathleen (McGowan) and William Daly. He grew up in the Bronx St. Simon Stock parish with his siblings, James Daly and Joan Daly Jennings, who both pre-deceased him. Bub enjoyed boating, Frank Sinatra and military history, especially the Civil War. He never met a sweet he didn't like! Bub attended Aeronautics High School in Queens which helped to foster his lifelong love of planes and model making. He was a master craftsman in the art of model making and was for many years the main designer for Mode Art jewelers in New York City. He was a proud Army veteran of the Korean War and past V.P. and Treasurer of the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge, Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter #59. Bub was a past Commodore of the Harlem Yacht Club, City Island, New York; member of the American Legion Post #488, Monroe, New York and a member of the Goshen Seniors' Club. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eleanor (Higgins) Daly; daughters, Eileen Daly and Caroline Antonelli and her husband, Michael; grandchildren, Julia Kate Antonelli and Aidan Antonelli; as well as many loving relatives and good friends. His was a life well lived! Visitation will be on Thursday, June 2 at Donovan's Funeral Home, 82 S. Church Street, Goshen, New York from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 3 at 12 noon at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 71 Murray Avenue, Goshen, New York.
