Hannah "Ann" Kelly Duffy, 100 August 5, 1909 - April 30, 2010 Middletown, NY Hannah "Ann" Kelly Duffy of Middletown, NY, formerly of the Bronx, NY, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 30, 2010. She was 100 years old. The daughter of the late Denis and Mary McCarthy Kelly, she was born August 5, 1909 in "Yorkville" New York, NY. One of 11 children, her love and devotion to her family was unconditional. She accepted the challenges that life presented and handled them with grace and dignity. For 64 years, she worked at Equitable Optical in New York, NY as an Office Manager/bookkeeper retiring in 1990. She is survived by her loving daughter, Annmarie Duffy McKenna at home; her daughter-in-law, May Duffy of White Plains, NY; her sister, Mary Curran, of Bronx, NY; her brother, James Kelly, and sister-in-law Eleanor of Barefoot, FL; her grandchildren, Jack & Joan Duffy, Michael & Kelly Duffy, Christine (Duffy) & Brian Ahearn, Kelly (McKenna) & Peter Mongan, Tara (McKenna) & John Gaffney, Kerry (McKenna) & Vic Santos and Tom & Christine McKenna; her great-grandchildren, Jack, Jimmy, Kiera, Brendan, Matthew, Kayleigh, Jordan, Jack, PJ, Thomas, Meagan, Kyle, Devin, Michael, & Kasey; and a plethora of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Duffy, Sr.; her son, John J. Duffy, Jr.; her sisters, Kit Wilson, and Nellie O'Connor; her brothers, Michael, Denis, Timmy, Patrick, John and Danny. Visitation will be Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 4-7 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St., Goshen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 3 at 9:30 am at St. Joseph's Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown, NY. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann's name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
