Grace Smith Cook, 91, ofGoshendied Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Middletown Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Care,Middletown,NY. Grace was born March 30, 1922 inWarwick,NY, the daughter of Joseph and Carrie (Green) Smith. She was the widow of Hayward R. Cook. Grace was very active in theGoshencommunity; she was a member and Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Goshen, belonged to theNiscon Circleand was a member of the Goshen Seniors. She is survived by children, Hayward R. Cook and wife Pon of San Jose, CA, Jeffrey James Cook of Goshen, Priscilla DeWitt of Goshen, Kathleen Cooper of Middletown, Peggy Carter and Robert of Middletown; grandchildren, Theodore DeWitt and wife Nancy, Michael DeWitt, Colleen Dewitt, Wanda Haskell, Mark Cook, Kimberly Goss and husband Prince, Fern Thompson and husband Mark, Richard Nash and wife Jenee, Jeffrey John Cook, Elishia Grace Cook, Allison Cook, Rosaleen Cook, Haywood R. Cook, Jr. and wife Jennifer and Jonathan Cook and wife; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Hayward; son, Preston Cook, sisters, Emma Price and Anne Wisher; sons-in-law, Leroy DeWitt, Sr. and George Cooper, Jr.and grandson, Leroy DeWitt, Jr. Visitation will be Saturday, January 18 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc,82 South Church Street,Goshen,NY. With the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 pm in the Funeral Home with the Reverend David Kingsley officiating. Burial will follow inSlateHillCemetery,Goshen,NY.
