Gertrude Raymond

Gertrude C. Raymond, 52, of Johnson, NY, died Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Gertrude was born March 23, 1965 in Cornwall, NY the daughter of Jose and Rosemary (Ransom) Leon. She worked in the Standardbred Industry as a Horse Groom and Shipper for a majority of her life. Her love for horses was only surpassed by her children and grandchildren. They were her life and legacy. She had a big heart and gave it all. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed. She is survived by ; Her children, Marissa Godinez and husband Luis, Rachel Raymond, Donald Raymond, Daniel Raymond and their father Harold Raymond. Her four Sisters Iris Pagan and spouse William, Mildred Ortiz and spouse Micky, Debbie Astacio and spouse Jose, Jodie Mann and spouse Richard and one brother Jose Leon. Her three grandchildren Leeana, Anya, Milan and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by an uncle William Ransom Sr.,and two aunts Victoria Van Ransom and Donna Ransom. She was predeceased by her parents Jose and Rosemary Leon, her nephew Carlos Rivera and two uncles Richard Ransom and Stephen Ransom. Visitation will be Friday, October 6 from 4 to 7 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
