Geraldine “Geri” Henderson of Goshen, New York passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was 83 years old.
Geri was the oldest of 5 children, born on November 5, 1942, in Franklin, New Jersey to the late John and Rita Olszewski. In 1963 she married William, and they shared 54 years together until his passing in 2017.
Geri is survived by her daughters Carleen Schaumburg and husband Charlie of Goshen and Amy Comisse of Harriman, her grandchildren Charles Schaumburg & wife Christina of Goshen, Hope Schaumburg of Goshen, and Dominick Comisse of Harriman. Great grandchildren Eleanor and Charlie Schaumburg of Goshen, sister Martha Norton of Norfolk, VA, brother John Olszewski of Warwick, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved sister Clara Wolven, brother Albert Olszewski and son in law Charley Comisse.
Geri will always be remembered for her immense kindness and unconditional love for her family, her faith, and her friends. These were her greatest treasures. She took great pride in being a member of the Goshen High School Class of 1960. She was the original organizer for their class reunions, which are still going strong today 65 years later! We will miss her more than words can say. We grieve for what we have lost but are so grateful for what we had. We wish her eternal peace and love.
Services will be held at Donovan’s Funeral Home, 82 S Church St. Goshen NY 10922, on Thursday January 22nd from 4 to 7 PM. A mass will take place at St. John’s RC Church on Friday January 23rd at 10:15AM. Followed by a burial at the OC Veterans Cemetery at 11:30AM.
