Gerald Steimers Goshen, New York Gerald Steimers, 60, of Goshen died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York, NY. Gerald was born June 17, 1953 in Bayshore, NY, the son of the late Joseph R. and the late Margaret (Buckleman) Steimers. He was Second Vice President of Claims for Western World Insurance Group, Franklin Lakes NJ. Graduated from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL; a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Zeta Sigma Chapter. He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Steimers of Goshen; son, Brian J. Steimers of Weehawken, NJ; daughter, Kristen E. Lenig and husband Charles of Amsterdam, NY; grandson, Jasper J. Lenig; brothers, Richard Steimers and wife Deb; 3 sisters, Lynne Young and husband Doug, Diane More and husband Gary, Therese Mosquera and husband Tony; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, November 15 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 16 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery, Chester. Memorial contributions may be made in Gerald's name to a charity of ones choice. Arrangements are under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen, NY.
